Ravindranathan started his life journey from Edappally, located in the urban limits of Ernakulam district of Kerala. After completing his schooling at Government High School, Edappally, he did his graduation from Maharajas College Ernakulam. Then he enrolled in Kerala Press Academy for doing his post-graduate diploma in Journalism and Communication.
As per chosen title for this blog, he was very reluctant to express his views in writing and decided to keep away from the company of people who speaks their minds through letters. After taking a break of one year, he joined to do his post-graduation in Politics and International Relations at the School of International Relations in the University campus of Mahatma Gandhi University. That's the end of the first part of his journey.
Ravi, by appearance, is a very fat figure but very narrow in his mind. He was never bothered to travel outside to get exposed to the world beyond his hometown. Till the age of 25, he somehow managed to stick in at his hometown. Till that age, his experience outside Ernakulam was a short stay in Malampuzha in the Palakkad district, where he was associated with the socio-economic unit of an Indo-German project. Surprising everyone, one day suddenly he accepted a call from New Delhi and decided to move into life in the Capital city of India.
The second part of his life starts from here. From 1995 onwards, he is in Delhi, learned some more tricks in various fields and applied those to keep his life moving on. He got married in 2001 and was blessed with a daughter in 2002. Resmi, his wife -who also comes from Ernakulam, is working as an economist in Delhi.
As a normal human being nurtured up in the environment of Kerala in the 1970s and 1980s, Ravi was also attracted to the alternative social movement like Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP). From his school days, he was very much involved in the educational activities of KSSP. During his college days, he enjoyed the better aspects of student politics. He was very much interested in listening to Indian classical music -Carnatic and Hindustani and also enjoyed the classic and folk-art forms of India. Currently, he is not interested in any of these things.
His biggest passion is watching Football, the most beautiful game in the world. This also, for the time being, kept on hold. One of his great achievements was covering more than 4500 meters of hights in the Himalayas by trekking. Because of this 10-day trekking, he didn't know about the Pokhran tests (second) for another 10 days. He likes to enjoy good food, and also likes to do some cooking.
